From North Lake Shore Drive
(Downtown Chicago, Evanston):
Go South on Lake Shore Drive. Exit at 47th St. Go straight to the third light, which is Woodlawn. Take a right and go south past 55th St., and then find parking!
From the Chicago Skyway/I-90
(Indiana):
Take the Stony Island Blvd. exit and follow Stony Island North to 59th St. Turn right onto the Midway Plaisance (under the railroad bridge that says "University of Chicago"). Turn right onto Woodlawn, and head North about four blocks. Brent House will be on the left (East) side of the street, shortly before reaching 55th St.
From I-90/94 (O'Hare, Milwaukie):
Take 90/94 East (South). Exit at Garfield Blvd. (55th St.). Turn Left onto Garfield
Blvd. Go East on Garfield Blvd. until it merges with Morgan Dr. Curve around the park, and turn right onto 55th St. Take a right onto Woodlawn (the third light), and find parking. Brent House is located on the right (West) side of the street, 5540 S. Woodlawn.

Illinois Central Metra Electric
Line:
Get off the Metra Electric Line at the 55-56-57th stop on the end of the platform
closest to 57th Street. Walk west on 57th six blocks until you come to Woodlawn
Ave. Turn right. Brent House will be on the left side of the street, a couple of blocks down, shortly before reaching 55th St. Train schedules and station information may be found here.
CTA Bus:
From downtown, take the #6 Jeffrey Express to 55th Street, transfer to the #55
Garfield bus and get off at University Ave. Walk East to Woodlawn, and and take a right. Brent House is located on the right (West) sid eof the street, less than half a block down.
If you would rather walk along 57th street, get off the #6 Jeffrey bus at 57th and Stony Island Avenue and walk west seven blocks until you you come to University Ave., just before reaching the Library. Turn left on University. Calvert House will be on the left side of the street towards the end of the block—at 5735 South University Avenue, just across from the University's main quad.
From south of the University, take the #6 Jeffrey Express or the #1 Indiana/Hyde Park bus to 55th street and transfer to the #55 bus. Then follow the directions above.

CTA El Train:
Take the CTA Red Line Train to the Garfield / 55th Street station; go upstairs,
cross the street, and take the #55 Garfield bus east to Ellis Avenue. Walk a couple blocks East to Woodlawn, and take a right. Brent House is located on the right (West) sid eof the street, less than half a block down.
Taking the El is not recommended since it is not as safe as the other options.
